Description
A workgroup of three students including myself was given a python programming assignment as part of financial technology course assessment. When we wanted to put the task together, it was written in various formats, so we had to waste hours reprogramming it.

Feelings
I felt we were clever because we split the work between us. When we met together, we noticed that a lot of reprogramming must be done. We all felt guilty, and decided that all group members should take work-leaves, which helped us work harder during the last days.

Evaluation
It didnt work well with me not having foreseen reprogramming of dependent parts of the code for consistency. Afterwards, the issues that went well with me were the fact that each member delivered good quality work within the timeframe.

Analysis
Dividing assignment according to each participant strength is useful. Belbin's team roles (2010) suggest the same. The reason why it did not work well was because we were focused on finishing quickly with no detailed plan.

Conclusion
Ive found that using peoples strengths is effective. I can note pitfalls of team roles, and what the hypothesis says to look for.

Action-Plan
In the future, I will use roles of Belbin's team to split group work. I will propose writing one section together before proceeding further with other sections. Finally, I will raise my concerns when necessary.
