Assignment Task

Obtain the data file from the Assignment 3 Quiz.  Complete the evaluation during class time by following the instructions in this file.  Submit the completed worksheet file (.xlsx) in eConestoga before the end of class.

You are a Quality Engineer at manufacturing company.  You need to create a dashboard of product and operational status which you will display and share with your team each week.  You want your dashboard to be interactive for your weekly operations meetings.

Complete the following:

1. Open the Data Save your file using Save As a MS Excel format (.xlsx) and include the text Assignment C and your username in the file name (i.e. AssignmentC_vgarcia1234.xlsx).

2. Create a new worksheet named “Dashboard”. Move this worksheet to the front of the Workbook.  The Dashboard tab should be the first one.

Create a dashboard that can be used weekly to track the operations by Product . The dashboard should monitor quality and cost .

Select two metrics to track and create a dashboard which includes the following items using dashboard’s tools including textbox, shape, illustration, and/or other tools that we discussed : (Be Creative!)

3. On the dashboard page in cell A1, put your name.

4.  On the dashboard page in cell A2, list one metric that you will be tracking. In cell B2, describe why you selected this metric.

5. On the dashboard page in cell A3, list a second metric that you will be tracking. In cell B3, describe why you selected this metric.

6. A Pivot Table

1. Include one element in the Columns
2. Include two elements in the Rows
3. Change the PivotTable name to an appropriate name
4. Change the PivotTable formatting style to be more attractive for the dashboard
5. Use a Tabular Layout with repeating item labels

7. A Pivot Chart

1. Add an appropriate Title
2. Add an appropriate Legend

8. One Slicer

1. Ensure that the Slicer is linked to the PivotTable
2. Turn on the Multi-select

9. One additional element (Pivot Table, Chart or Slicer) to assist with metrics tracking

1. Add the additional element on the Dashboard page
2. Describe why you have added this element
3. Format and arrange the dashboard page so that it is easy to view and use during the operations meeting
