Quality Management Planning Approaches

Task: Quality may not be the top priority in all projects, but it should be considered and analysed, it is important that efforts made to meet quality requirements are consistent with the expectations of stakeholder needs, because customer satisfaction is generally the most important. In quality standards, try to relate the quality standards that the organisation has or that the area of activity imposes. In criteria of acceptance of their by-products to be listed, they must relate the criteria evaluated for acceptance of the by- product to be complete and incorrect. In the document next to it is to insert the expected value, it should define the expected value for each of the criteria. And insert those responsible in the step by performing the guarantee and control and their activities to be performed. The quality on a project is the degree to which the project fulfils requirements. It is define as creating and following policies and procedures  in order to ensure that a project meets the defined needs it was intended to meet from the customer’s or user perspective such as customer’s satisfaction, preventing bad quality through good plan, design and implementation and good management support. More investment in prevention cost will led to good quality of project and ultimately saving the cost on other three costs. E.g, Toyota recalls 9 million cars due to problems in brakes in 2005. This cost them more than 5.5 billions dollars loss. This poor quality was result of poor investment in prevention cost, which results in other costs. Thus, the quality of project directly impacts the cost of project. If quality standards are not designed according to project goals & scopes, then it directly impacts the project life cycle. These in turn will leads to deal in project, need extra resources and investment in project. If there is a problem with quality, then the project will be redesigned, which in turn means the cost for the project will now increase. The responsibility lies with the project manager to prevent additional cost due to poor quality. To sum up, it can be said that project quality have impact on cost and project cost will also have impact on quality. If the cost is low, we have to comprise the quality and if the quality is low, we have to spend more to me the quality.
