Introduction
The Australian Census questionnaire asks questions about each Australian household and the individuals residing in the household on a specific night of the year.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) wishes to provide the Census questionnaire in the form of a web page. You have been asked to develop a draft version of this web page.
The census questionnaire that you are to prepare is divided into four parts:

Part 1. People: this part consists of questions for each person spending the census night in the dwelling. Additional copies of this part can be generated for each person in the household on the night of the census.
Part 2. Dwelling: this part of a census form consists of questions about the dwelling.
Part 3. Animals: this part consists of questions about each animal (pet or other type of animal that is cared for, in the household. Additional copies of this part can be generated for each animal in the household on the night of the census.
Part 4. Feedback: the fourth part is to get feedback on the experience of filling out the census form online.
Use of a Git Repository
A git repository is available for your assignments, including this one, as described in The School Git Repository documentation.

You should clone this repository when you start work on the assignment, as described in the documentation, and then you should regularly update the repository with your updates to your assignment. It is best practice for all software developers, including web developers, to store any work of this nature in a git repository in this manner. Use of the School git repository forms part of your assessment in the case of Assignment 2.
Git Repository Operational Steps
After cloning the repository into a directory on your computer, which will create an empty directory (except for a .git subdirectory). After this, all the work in your project should be carried out in this directory (or another one cloned in the same way). As files are created and modified, the following steps should take place, in order for your work to be stored in the repository. In all cases below, the commands should be entered in a git-for-bash terminal, with current directory set to the one you cloned, if you are using Windows, or in an ordinary terminal, if you are running Linux or MacOS.
When a new file is added, e.g. file.xhtml, it should be added to the repository like so:
git add file.xhtmlAfter adding a file, or editing a file, you should commit your changes to the local repository like so:
git commit -a -m "A msg which summarises your changes"
After commiting your changes to the local repository, you should push your changes to the school repository, like so:
git push
One more optional command that you might like is to view the log of your work, which you can do like so:
git log .
There are many other commands and ways to use git that you can read about in the documentation referred to in the School Git documentation. Storage of important work in a repository in this way is essential in all professional work, as will be discussed in the lectures.
