This assignment is in two parts: Poster and Reflective Essay

Theme 4 content discusses advancing personal, workforce, and team capabilities. You are encouraged to appraise your current ability, leadership capabilities, and potential to assume an advancing professional role in your clinical specialty or workplace.

This Assessment examines your ability to critically reflect upon your learning in this unit of study and how you can utilise that learning in your professional practice.

Part

1: Poster

This assessment is designed to encourage you to utilise creative methods as an alternative to presenting information in academic format only. Your poster will help to inform your reflective essay.

Design a poster to showcase your learning in this unit. The poster should demonstrate:

• your main point/s of learning from each theme in this unit and,
• how you can apply this knowledge to your professional practice

2: Reflective Essay

• Construct a critical reflection based on a chosen model, such as those provided by Atkins (1994), Gibbs (1988), or Rolfe (2001). You should structure your work under your chosen reflective model.
• Recall the insights and information you have gathered throughout this Unit and as the result of completing Assessments 1, 2, and 3.
• Consider your current ability, leadership capabilities, and potential to assume an advancing professional role in your clinical specialty and establish future learning goals.
• Identify your professional development needs, including mentoring, professional networking, education, or clinical experiences.
• Support your reflection with contemporary literature.
• Benchmark your experiences against an appropriate set of professional practice standards 

Understanding & Knowledge

The student can interpret the reflective essay question accurately and demonstrates knowledge & understanding of the assessment content by discussing,explaining,analysing & interpreting the theme ideas/concepts. The student demonstrates an ability to utilise the principles of reflection to evaluate nursing practice development

Construction

The reflective essay is constructed in standard academic format using an introduction, body, and conclusion, and use of firstperson pronouns. A reflective model or tool may be required as per the assessment question.
The presentation is visually appealing; the colours & patterns, fonts, graphics, tables & figures facilitate the presentation of the content and are clearly arranged so the viewer can recognise the topic. The content themes are organised logically, concept by concept, building a coherent position/argument or reflection.

Research & Evidence

The student demonstrates an ability to link theory to practice by integrating research & evidence into the development of the assessment.
