For this 'Learning Journal' (Reflection 2) you must stick to the format provided below. Replicate the headings listed below, numbered and in bold, as your headings. Include the sub-headings numbered a, b and c. Address each heading in turn and in the order provided.
Learning Journal 2
1. Reflection
What did you learn from your feedback/feedforward in Reflection 1 (LJ1) that you have applied to writing Reflection 2 (LJ2) 2? Under this heading, you will answer the question by summarising the feedback and showing how you have applied the feedforward you received in Reflection 1.
2. Topic
This section of your Reflective Learning Journal will contain three entries, one each for Self and Identity, Prejudice and Discrimination and Attraction and Close Relationships.
a. What did you learn from this subtopic include a reflection about the subtopic you have chosen. Use academic resources in this section.
b. What are the main concepts related to this sub-topic that challenged you? Use academic resources and a direct quote in this section.
c. Drawing on your own experience, provide an example of how this subtopic relates to your interactions with and understanding of the social world. Use academic resources in this section to apply the concepts and theories to your own experience. You will apply this format to all three topics. You will have an entry for each of the subtopics you choose from Self and Identity, Prejudice and Discrimination and Attraction and Close Relationships. Please see your workbooks for a list of the subtopics.
3. What tools, skills and university support systems have you engaged with this semester? What have they taught you about successful learning at university and your own university journey?
By answering this question you will evaluate your own learning of university tools, support systems and resources that you have accessed during the semester. You will reflect on your own expectations about your learning at university. Marks will be awarded to those students who can cite different resources they have accessed and those who reflect on what a successful
For example you can write about the following (these are just examples) Tools and skills you have found that help with stress management, planning, learning more effectively &/or academic literacy. Any reflections on your own feelings about succeeding at university, how you have set, met or not met particular goals.
