This can cause a potential threat to aquatic life. This report had summarized the various discussion carried out on the presence of organic nitrogen in the recycled water, its cause, and techniques adopted for the purpose of its removal with the use of Zeolite. This report contains various methodologies and efficient techniques employed for the application of zeolites in nitrogen removal. This report had a discussion on the beneficial uses of natural zeolites, as well as its use in wastewater treatment, ground, surface, and underground water treatment, drinking water treatment. In addition to this, the efficiencies and methodologies utilized for the removal of nitrogen from recycled water were discussed. Moreover, the use of natural Zeolites had proven to be successful in removing organic nitrogen from recycled water. There was a brief review of the literature for the purpose of considering the efficient use of zeolites in water treatment for nitrogen removal. Overall, this report has indicated that zeolite has an abundance of negative charge which is helpful in removing the positively charged ions generated by the waste hence it is effective for the treatment of nitrogen-contaminated recycled water.
