1: Qualitative Data Analysis
The purpose of this first section of the assignment is to provide you with the opportunity to apply the principles of coding to an interview. A transcript of an interview is provided below, and you are required to engage with the information provided by the interviewee to identify codes, collapse those codes into themes, and then provide a brief analysis of the information provided by the interviewee.
The interview is an excerpt from an interview on co-dependency and love addiction. Your analysis of the transcribed interview should then be framed within this context. You will be awarded marks for providing the workings of your process. In your response you should then:

2. In this section of the assignment, you will be provided with the opportunity to show your understanding of statistical tests. In particular, hypothesis testing and z-scores.
Two scenarios have been provided with data that you will need to use to complete the statistical analyses
You will be awarded marks for showing the calculations as well as the final result. Therefore, you are required to outline the steps taken to get the result.
2.1 A student researcher is attempting to establish whether a correlation exists between the use of ayurvedic medicine (natural medicines) and immune system health. The researcher theorizes that the use of ayurvedic medicine will have either a positive or negative relationship with reported feelings of wellness.
The Independent Variable (IV) in his research is “how much ayurvedic medicine is used” and the dependent variable (DV) is “reported feelings of wellness over a six-month period”. The researcher had an n of 33, an SP of 131, an SSx of 43 and an SSy of 1106.
Using the information provided in the scenario above conduct a step-by-step hypothesis test with a Pearson’s R correlation. In your answer provide the following:
2.2 A small class of biology students at Rydell High School have written a make-up test for their failed exam. The scores for the group are as follows:
2.3 Sandra D is a new student who missed the first sitting of the exam. She is allowed to write the second exam with the others. Her score was 79. Include her score into the set of data to calculate the new standard deviation for the group.
2.4 Frenchy Conn decides to leave school to go to beauty school. If her score is removed from the group, the mean becomes 62.6. Calculate the new standard deviation for the group.
