Prepare a research proposal that provides an overarching research problem, details of the design and an argument to support a research project, proposed forms of analysis and including consideration of ethical issues raised by your research design. The proposal should cover the following issues.  

Introduction – How do you come to this research - Establishes the background to the research and its significance

Research Problem - Outlines and represents the research problem

Literature review - Identifies research field/s related to the research problem; Establish the studies relevant to the research question; Provide a warrant your research; Articulate the contribution that your own research will make to the research field/s.

Theoretical Framework - Theory and conceptual ideas that delimit the research question, help to establish the perspective from which the topic is viewed and guide the research focus and design 

Methodology - Name and describes the methodological framework for this research project. Addresses and connects your research to ongoing traditions, including questions about epistemology, ontology.

Ethics - Outlines key ethical or research integrity considerations in light of the proposed methods and methodology

Data collection method/s - Identifies and describes the method/s of data collection and explains the appropriateness of these methods.

Analysis tool(s) - Outlines and explains appropriateness of the analytical tools

Timeline – a timeline of the research project (to completion). Use a Gantt chart.
