Democracy is a national priority that emerges in various education policies. In research already done, it seems that teachers; conceptual understanding (their knowledge, perceptions and values) of democracy, is an unexplored field. One can reason from the standpoint that a teacher's conceptual understanding of democracy, will have an effect on at least one of the following aspects: the manner in which their teaching-learning activities drawing up, how their classroom discipline is maintained, and how their knowledge about and for democracy will be transferred to learners.
Question:
1) Determine how this concept influences how they develop their teaching-learning activities. In order to facilitate this investigation,
2) To what extent, if any, does the teachers conceptual understanding of democracy influence the way they teach and develop learning
activities?
3) How does this conceptual understanding of democracy influence the way they conceptualise their teaching-learning activities?
4) Evaluate the title of the study, by indicating if the title of proposed research problem and questions adequately represents the study.
5) Which data collection methods are most appropriate for the methodological choices that you have for applying the method discussed. Provide also motivations for why you want to employ this method.
6) Discuss different strategies which will be relevant for this study.
7) What measures will you put in place to ensure that the ethical aspects of research are achieved with the teachers?
