This assessment must be submitted as one document containing numbered responses and the information as outlined below plus any additional files such as scanned forms and documents required.  Please note that a maximum of 6 files may be uploaded for assessment.

1. Select to use either your current or a previous workplace OR the Simulated Workplace.  If neither of these are applicable to your situation or experience you may also nominate to look at resource use in your home, but please discuss this with your teacher before hand.

2. Identify at least five resources which, in your position, you either use or control, recommend or supervise the use of.  Ensure that the list includes at least one of each of the three categories - Administration, Product and Capital and identify which category each one belongs to.

3. Use the 'resource ranking matrix' to rank these five resources into an order of importance.

4. Create AND USE a resource recording tool to monitor the use of only the top ranked resource for a minimum of three weeks.  Chose the units and frequency that you will use for recording the resource use and explain how/why you selected the units and frequency you did.

5. Consider and report on the possible elimination, reduction and/or recycling which could be used to reduce resource use.
  a) Can the resource be ELIMINATED? If not, why not.  If so, how?
  b) Can the resource be REDUCED? If not, why not.  If so, how?
  c) Can the resource be RECYCLED? If not, why not.  If so, how?
