The Task
You are required to give a seminar presentation of an assigned topic in the area of 'Revolutions in Modern Physics'. You should consider yourself as an expert in your field and you are presenting on your topic to a forum of peers who are also experts in their relative fields.
During the series of presentations, you are expected to work through the material provided in each seminar and strive to understand each of your peers' topics. We expect you to demonstrate an increased independence from previous semesters of Physics study hence the 'role reversal' of teacher and student.
The content covered during the seminars is assessable. They will be recorded and placed on the  Student Server for your benefit.
The requirements of this task are:
1. The Talk: 14-16 minute talk on your chosen/assigned topic (if it is longer than 16 minutes then you will be stopped or a minor overtime penalty will be applied). At the completion of your talk, you will be required to answer questions from the audience about the content of your seminar. The question time is independent of the 14-16 minute timeframe.

2. The Handout: one (single sided) A4 page of summary notes of your talk must be prepared and submitted. You must also provide a copy for each student in your class. You are responsible for the photocopying of this.

3. The Focus

Questions: a set (8-12) must be prepared and submitted. You also need to provide a copy for each student in your class. The questions should be of the standard that would be found in a class physics text, address the major points of your seminar and they should be answerable by students who attend your talk. It is advisable to use a range of question styles. You need to prepare your own set of answers to these questions and submit a copy to your teacher only at the start of your talk.

4. Use of Digital Media: a computer presentation (Powerpoint, Prezi, etc) that incorporates simulations/animations or short videos, graphs, tables, equations and relevant images should form part of the support material for your talk. You must submit this to your teacher on the day of your presentation (preferably your presentation will be delivered on a USB drive).

5. Use of other mediums: other mediums should be used as part of your presentation. This includes whiteboard, physical props or demonstrations. 6. Reference List: a copy of your reference list must be submitted as a hard copy on the day of your presentation. You should follow the Harvard referencing style guide and include a critical  annotation for the five main sources used. All other sources should have a very brief outline of why you used this resource.
