1. Introduction
Debtfree Management Services Ltd is a well-established company which is specialized in providing administrative services to the main clients in South Africa. To that effect, Gagné (2009:580) concluded his study by mentioning that recognition is thus more likely to encourage intrinsic motivation compared to monetary and other tangible rewards.

3. Problem statement

An increase in the workload in turn evidently lower the morale as well as the energy of the employees. The low morale of the employees is consequently perceived in the performance of employees where the employees have recently missed the deadlines for the preparation of the legal applications and the affidavits. Based on this event, it can therefore be clearly noted that the employees are not being effective and their performance is not at the required level.
