Highlights
Introduction
Students are expected to submit a final project. This course does not have final exam; therefore, final project should be respected seriously. At the first stage students are expected to team up to make a group of two. Then group must submit a project proposal by 13th of November. The proposal will define the problem and group mates and the prospected PLC languages to accomplish the project. The problem is expected to consist of multi inputs/outputs with verity of sensors and switches and actuators. The logic of the process should be advanced and explained as clear as possible. The preferred languages of implementation are ST, SFC, CFC, Graph which is accompanied by advanced simulation in either Codesys or TIA. Enhance your program by FBs,
micros, etc., as you have studied during the course. Put comments and choose readable and relevant, tags, names for your variables, branches, FB, steps, etc.
Include the followings in your proposal:
1- The name of group mates.
2- The problem (process, plant, etc.) as much as detail you could and possible pictures.
3- Inputs/ outputs (sensors, switches, motors, actuators, etc.).
4- The logic of the process with the details.
5- The PLC languages and the program environment (CODESYS or TIA).
Report Format
You should follow IEEE Manuscript Template for your proposal and final report writing. You should use the LaTex format of the template. The proposal shouldn’t exceed 4 pages including references and figures. The final report shouldn’t exceed 6 pages including references and figures. The proposal and final report should be well structured, formatted and have abstract with a short introduction.
