You are required to source an actual job advertisement that must contain selection criteria, be related to your major and be appropriate to your skills level. Your response to this job advertisement will be to:

• write a customised 1 page cover letter using key words from the selection criteria (highlighted on the job ad) and following correct letter writing format

• create a 2 page resume (reverse chronological format only)

• address all parts of each of 4 selection criteria using the STAR model (approximately 200 words per selection criteria) Note: Correct use of structure, language and conventions of English is imperative in the written components. This assessment addresses the unit learning outcome: ‘Construct portfolio elements to demonstrate the development of professionalism and competence with resumes, application types, addressing selection criteria and interview scenarios’.
