Introduction
It is a rare event when a programmer writes completely perfect code on the first try. In fact, some programmers argue that more time is spent fixing code than writing new code! In order to save time and write better code, it is vital that programmers of all skill levels learn about debugging - the removal of bugs from code.
There are two main types of bugs in code: bugs that produce error messages, and bugs that let the program run, but produce the wrong output.
Despite these differences, the debugging process is mostly the same. However, bugs that produce the wrong output are much less obvious than bugs that produce error messages, so below are some extra tips for finding bugs.
