The function of your selected protein is introduced and discussed in this section. Details on what your protein does, where it does it within a cell or organism, and specific details on the mechanism of action (e.g., catalysis) must be included. The connection between protein structure and its function should also be highlighted here to emphasize the structure-function relationship. Note that additional sources of information will likely be needed to help explain protein function. Make sure to cite and reference these sources in your assignment.

Part III: Relevance
This final section of the assignment will overview the importance of this enzyme (or class of enzymes) to scientific research, medicine, biotechnology, etc. A discussion of protein relevance should answer these types of questions: Why was this protein studied? Why was the 3D structure elucidated? How does a greater knowledge of this protein help to advance this area of research?
