It is common for researchers to present information at conferences using posters, which are an ideal way to share information with a large group of people. Successful posters convey a clear message by having a high visual impact and minimal text. They should be readable from two metres away and able to be completely read in under ten minutes. This assessment item introduces you to the design and function of a scientific poster. 

Conference posters normally contain the following sections: Title, Abstract, Introduction, Materials and methods, Results, Conclusions and References. As you have not performed any research, your poster will contain the sections that are found in your literature review. Images, photographs, tables and graphs can also be added to your poster as long as they have been referenced correctly. Students must construct and treat these posters as they would any other piece of academic work. Thus, no posters are to be copied from other forums and all material utilised in the posters MUST be appropriately referenced with the originating source acknowledged using the Harvard WesternSydU Referencing Style. 

Each member of the group will be using the same Literature review submitted previously but will be constructing their OWN poster for review. Your poster should be prepared using POWERPOINT and should be submitted in A3 size as a PDF. In addition, as your poster will be peer-reviewed blindly, it should NOT have your name or your group members' names. 
In week 10, each one of you will submit your poster a the vUWS site.
