Highlights
Background
This RFP has been prepared by Seascape Park who are establishing a community experience centre at their regional park situated on the Great Ocean Road near Lorne, Victoria. This RFP sets out requirements that should inform development of proposals.
Key dates
The contract will be awarded to the successful team in late October 2021. The proposed project should be scheduled to start on any date after December 1, 2021. The project must be complete on or prior to March 1, 2022.
IT equipment (goods) to be supplied
40 Android tablets (latest model as of April 2021) for loan to patrons. They will be used by patrons to support a guided walk with audio narration using our bespoke Seascape app which is available on the Google Play store. The current version of our app must work on the tablet and should be installed prior to delivery. Light weight, durable with the highest specification integrated camera are preferred. Android only – Apple products are not supported by our IT service provider. A full specification of the
recommended tablet should be provided under deliverables in your proposal.
Two lightweight, portable overhead projectors for use in the community experience centre for seminars and events. Minimum requirements: works with PC laptops, quiet operation and product safety (reputable brand/manufacturer). The projectors should be easy to use – plug and play preferred. They need to be transported around the experience centre and to other venues, so a robust carry case and lightweight construction are key requirements. A full specification of the recommended projector should be provided under deliverables in your proposal.
Services to be supplied
An onsite training session for our Centre Manager, four Park Rangers, one administrative staff member and one representative from our IT service provider should be specified as part of the proposal. Training will take place at our experience centre outside of Lorne, Victoria, Australia. The session should be a hands-on demonstration, step by step walk through of the operation of the products on site in the experience centre after delivery and setup is complete. It should cover how to manage routine
troubleshooting. Internet connectivity, moveable tables and seating is available on site in the centre for the training session.
