Essay Writing Assignment:

The assignment should be between 1250-1500 words in length. Your essay should be structured as follows: 1. an introduction to essay including signposting of structure 2. overview of stages of development/age/L1 transfer (as appropriate) with references, 3. your analysis (with examples from the data and tables) 4. conclusion. Remember to structure your assignment carefully and give clear indications of the links to the question and signpost throughout. Referencing should follow the APA format. 1. In the assignment calculate mean length of utterance. It is calculated as: Total number of words spoken in English divided by total number of lines spoken in English. Do this for all 4 times. Also make tables and graphs. 2. Talk about vocabulary acquisition with reference to articles or researches that different people have carried out in the field of second language acquisition or vocabulary acquisition in this case. (e.g I.S.P. NATION is one of the writers who talked about vocabulary acquisition in his book ‘Vocabulary in Another Language). I am attaching couple of related articles,go through them and see if they are relevant or not then you can research but there should be at least three articles and two book references.
