Create a response to a request for proposal (RFP) for the simulated business environment. Crafting a successful response to an RFP is a necessary first step to working in consulting and securing funding for consulting services for:

AECT-Global’s Global Sanitation and Sustainability Project (GSSP) for the development of an engagement strategy to foster strategic alliances with private or government organisations within the PNG Market.

With an objective of establishing a relationship that facilitates the incorporation of the GSSP processing plant into existing wastewater treatment processes, to enable a more sustainable, efficient, and environmentally friendly waste management .

Established in 2005, the Australian Centre for Education and Training – Global (ACET- Global) is a private organisation focused on providing training solutions to organisations in Australia and across the world.

ACET-Global is in a unique position to connect and give back to society, and act as a global agent for positive change. As a result, ACET-Global has launched a number of independent, non-profit initiatives to tackle issues important across the world.

Global Sanitation and Sustainability Project (GSSP) is one of ACET- Global’s social initiatives. It’s our goal is to finalise this project and implement our toilet solution globally. ‘’Over 2.3 billion people lack access to basic sanitation facilities, and almost 900 children die every day as a result of poor sanitation. Therefore, it is important that we are equipped with the most up-to-date information available, so that we can customise delivery of sanitation solutions to the needs of each target country. This will allow us to implement our solution globally with maximal efficiency and effectiveness. 

BRIEF:
You are required to develop an informed and persuasive business case that identifies and discusses the problem as you see it based on your industry knowledge and understanding of problem types, and presents an approach to solving the problem using your understanding of  consulting tools and methodologies.

A brief statement of what makes a good consultant.

The problem statement:
Outline of your view on what the problem is with evidence that supports your view from your research on the industry context. Apply Design Thinking and other tools to firmly define the consulting problem. Include a discussion of additional factors that you think should be considered to effectively solve the problem. Indicate assumptions, constraints and any limitations bounding your analysed solution response and action plan.

Identify key organisational resources:
key decision flows and alignment of key stakeholders required to develop your deliverables considerations.

Deliverables and approach:
Market Scan and analysis of existing wastewater treatment organisations including identification of emerging organisations. Comparative analysis based on strategic fit for ACET- Global objectives, considering risks, opportunities, behavioural trends, issues, cultural sensitivities, barriers to entry, educational opportunities, environmental risks, and logistical issues.

• Identify an appropriate target organisation to pursue with the potential for a long-term strategic alliance with and justification for selection
• Provide recommendation on a go to market/engagement strategy for the ACET to engage the target organisation
• Develop a detailed organisational profile. Including senior leadership and key contactswithin the organisation for engagement.

Outline each deliverable with specific detail around approach and methodology used to produce that deliverable.

BUDGET (For Noting Only)
The total budget for this project is not to exceed $65,000 including all eligible taxes and expenses. Terms and timelines for payment will be negotiated in the contract for services but based on receipt of written invoices from the Consultant for services completed.
