In the current situation of covid-19 affecting Malaysia, everyone must be responsible for complying with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to curb the spread of Covid-19. Social distance is usually defined as the practice of maintaining a greater physical distance than others or avoiding direct contact with people or objects in public places to minimize exposure and reduce the spread of infection. Due to this, many students from UTHM, UIA, Polytechnic, and UTM will use the library at Edu Hub Pagoh for learning. It is difficult to control the crowd during a pandemic to ensure the social distancing guideline can be properly followed. As a public place, it is at high risk for the spread of the covid-19 virus. Pagoh Higher Education Hub Sharing Facility Library has 3 floors, which makes it difficult for the library management to estimate the number of students entering at one time. To solve the problem in that situation, we have come up with an idea called Crowd Simulation. Therefore, we propose a system that enables us to estimate the optimal number of people in a confined space such as a library, shop, minimart, and supermarket through crowd simulation.

The aim of this project is to develop a system that can help the campus in the management and safety of library visitors, especially students around Edu Hub Pagoh. In order to reach this goal, the following objectives will be accomplished.
To study and identify a suitable technique to simulate a crowd in a confined space.
To develop a technique that simulates crowd with social distancing.
To perform estimation of the optimal number of people without compromising the social distancing rule.

The methodology we will use in this project is an air model or commonly known as the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). SDLC provides a framework that describes the activities performed during each phase of the system development project. Therefore, we use this method to see the progress of our project running smoothly and orderly. The application we use in public simulation is Microsoft Visual Studio, and Open Graphics Library (OpenGL). The language we use in our project is C ++ Programming language.
