The arrival and service times for first five customers to a single server queuing system are available in the attached Excel sheet. The system starts empty and idle, i.e. there is no one in the queue and the server is idle at the start.

(a) Compute the delay and the departure times. You may use the following equations.
Di = ci-1 – ti = Delay for ith customer in queue
ci = ti + Di + Si = Departure time for ith customer

(b) Create an event list using the arrival and departure times and compute Q(t) and B(t), where
Q(t) = Number of customers in the queue at time t
B(t) = Server status at time t

Also identify the type of each event as arrival (A) or departure (D). You can assume that Q(t) and B(t) are updated after the occurrence of the event.
