Students will design a small health promotion camping to be implemented on the campus during term 2 and 3. The planning must include all requirements for the MDX Students Public Health Society to host the campaign. 

In small groups [3-4] students will produce thorough research on their topic of choice that will include the problem and its extent, how the problem is addressed / or not in our campus and the identification of best practices in previous campaigns implemented in other contexts to tackle that or similar issues. 

The design must include clear objectives and activities suitable to be assessed by the SMART system to articulate goals and objectives 

Hence, the campaign, its goals and activities should be: 
• Specific — target a specific area for improvement. 
• Measurable — quantify or at least suggest an indicator of progress. 
• Assignable— specify who will do it. 
• Realistic — state what results can realistically be achieved, given available resources. 
• Time-related — specify when the result(s) can be achieved. 

The draft plan will be presented by each group on 27/02/20. Presentations will last 10 minutes and will be followed by academic and peer feedback and questions. 

Topics will be negotiated with the module leader. Some tentative examples: use of plastic bottles on campus, use of non-reusable hot-drink cups, smoking in campus and so on. Students might also suggest alternative topics. These must gain approval by the module leader. Details of the plan will be further discussed during lectures.
