If there is a lack of qualitative research studies relevant to your research topic, you may review articles based on quantitative research and/or other Western countries (Europe, the Americas, and Australasia). However, you must make the link with the UK and the country.
Your literature review should include discussion of the main theoretical concepts underpinning your topic and critical examination of relevant evidence.
You can refer to government reports or policies to contextualise your topic, but these reports or policies do not count towards the five academic sources.
