You need to come up with a news story idea, research it, find relevant quotes from social media platforms, and then write your story using journalistic news writing style.

STORY:
Make sure your story is newsworthy.
Make sure you use proper journalistic news writing style.
This means having a strong start to your story that grabs the readers’ attention and tells them what the story is about and what is new.
You need to structure your story so that it flows well and is easy to understand.
And you must use proper attribution and punctuation when inserting the quotes into your story.

The story should be well written with no spelling, punctuation, grammar or style errors.
QUOTES:
You need to include in your story quotes from at least two different people.
You need to source these quotes from Facebook, Twitter or any other social media platform.
This means you do NOT have to conduct any interviews yourself for this story.
These quotes should be written into your story using journalistic news writing style (proper attribution and punctuation).
Remember the best quotes provide personal insight from someone affected by the topic and/or provide expert opinion from someone who has authority on the topic.
Links: Provide three links to online sources you used to research your story topic.5 marks.
These should NOT be links to the quotes you have sourced, they should be links to other online material you used to help you put your story together (link to sources you have used in your research).
Important things to remember:
These links are not included in the word count. You can list them as dot points.
The links can simply be the web addresses (the urls) of the online source you have used.
Think about the relevance and credibility of the sources you are linking to.
