Tableau Assignment Help:
Task:
In this case, we use solar Energy assignment. In this case, we focus on the area “France , and on years 2005 and 2017
The case comes in two parts. The two parts uses the same data (Four Excel files). Please do all the case (parts I and II) in the same Tableau workbook.
1.Create the connections to the Excel files (extracts are not needed – use live connections). Modify the dimensions and measures as needed, and create the hierarchies. (For Region, choose the geographic role “State/Province”).
2.Create the visualizations answering the following questions (name your sheets and dashboard explicitly using the number of the question, e.g. Q2.1, Q2.2, ...):
Excel files -1
2.1 Create a bar chart illustrating, for a year that the user may choose interactively, the installation cost, sales, direct employment for each solar technology (Eg: photovoltaic and thermal)
2.2 Create a scatter plot showing, for a year that the user may choose interactively, the Energy consumption by sector and industrial electrical Tarif for each contract
Excel files -2
2.3. Create a text table showing by region, over two-year period (2015 to 2017), The solar production by region. The table should be ordered by decreasing order of solar production.
2.4. Create a text table showing, over two-year period (2015 to 2017), the total production of electricity by type of renewable energy and by region. All the cells of the cross-tab such for the three most Solar production, should be highlighted in yellow. And the five least Solar production, should be highlighted in red.
Excel files -3
2.5 Create a bar chart illustrating, for a year that the user may choose interactively, the total number of Solar Parks built by codeDepartement and codeFiliere.
Excel files -3 & Excel files -4
2.6Create a scatter plot showing, for a year that the user may choose interactively, the solar park capacity production (puisMaxRac (MW)) and the number of sunny day for each department. Complete this bar chart with a reference line with an
explicit meaning.
Excel files -4
2.7Create a dashboard with a map showing the total number of Solar Park, for a year chosen by the user. This map will be synchronized with a bar chart detailing the capacity production for Solar and sunny day, and a pie chart detailing the
capacity production by sector, for the current region.
PART II
Tell your story of Solar Energy in France, as if you were a journalist. Let the data speak! Build nice and convincing data visualizations, to share your findings. To do this, use Tableau stories, built upon sheets and dashboards. Apply the data visualization principles and guidelines seen in class. You may reuse some of the sheets and the dashboard from Part I, but you do not have too, and of course, you should add new sheets and dashboards. If you reuse some of the sheets or the dashboard form Part I (improving their aesthetics), do not modify them directly, but make a copy of them and modify the copy. Make the names of your sheets, dashboards and story explicit.
