Solubility is the quantity of solute that dissolves in a given amount of solvent. The solubility of a solute depends on the nature of the solute and solvent, the amount of solute, the temperature and pressure (for a gas) of the solvent. Solubility is expressed as the quantity of solute per 100 g of solvent at a specific temperature.

Method
Measure 9.0cm3 distilled water in a graduated glass pipette and add to a large boiling tube.
Weigh out 4.00g of KCl and add to distilled water in the boiling tube.
Construct a water bath by filling 400 ml beaker about ¾ full of boiled water from a kettle.
Using a wooden test-tube holder, place the boiling tube with the KCl into the water bath, and stir witht the thermometer until salt is completely dissolved. If the salt does not dissolve, top up the water bath with freshly boiled water.
Construct a cooling water bath using tap water at room temperature in a 250ml beaker.
When dissolved, remove the boiling tube and place in a second 250ml beaker
Continue stirring with the thermometer and observe closely for the first signs of crystallisation in the solution. Record the temperature immediately as crystallisation begins.
Using the graduated pipette, add 1ml of distilled water to the boiling tube.
Repeat steps 4-7, taking note of the new volume of water is now 10 cm3.
Repeat steps 4-9, until you need an ice bath for the salt to crystallise. Ensure you have at least 5 different volumes of solution.
Discard the salt solution down the sink and repeat for a total of three trials.
Process the data appropriately to determine the solubility in g/100cm3 of KCl at different temperatures.
Process the data appropriately to produce a graphed solubility curve for KCl.
