Complete a physical assessment on an 'At Risk — High Risk' neonatal patient for whom you are caring for. The assessment can be conducted on admission but must be undertaken in the infant's first two to three days of life. The assessment should include all of the following:
• A description of the model of physical assessment (head to toe, systems model, etc.) you have chosen and why you have chosen to use this model. (referenced)
• A brief introduction to infant ibu have chosen to examine, including the presentation of previous history (perinatal, intrapartum, resuscitation, family, social, etc.)
• Full examination includes all major systems i.e. respiratory, cardiac and neurological, using the basic skills of inspection, palpation, percussion and auscultation, and documentation of your findings. The findings to be presented in table format.
• A brief comment on the normality or otherwise of the findings, and reference to the literature to explain findings.
• An overall summary of the physical assessment
• A brief report on the probable outcomes for this infant.
