There are several tourist criteria (spatial, temporal, and purposive) linked to the WTS system. The connection between those criteria and the WTS system is crucial and every tourist must meet those certain criteria simultaneously before taking any further action about management issues in the WTS system. Domestic & international tourism, outbound & inbound tourist and, short-haul & long-haul travel is included in the spatial component. And to be classified as a tourist in the spatial component, an individual must leave their comfort zone. Whereas, to be classified as a tourist in the temporal component, the length of time involved in the trip determine are the individual is a tourist and what type of tourist are they. Thus, there are four types of the major tourist and they are international stayover, domestic stayover, international excursionist, and domestic excursionist. Whereupon, in the travel purpose (purposive component), defines that not all travel is tourism. Three major categories qualified a tourist in this component and those three categories are leisure, business, and visiting friends & relatives (Weaver & Lawton 2014).
