Aybars Oztuna is the founder and CEO of the Geospatial Intelligence Institute, and he is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Geospatial Intelligence at Johns Hopkins University. He received his Bachelor's degree in international studies with a minor in intelligence studies from the University of South Florida, and he has also completed an Executive Data Science specialization at Johns Hopkins.

Originally from Ankara, Oztuna is a scholar-activist who has interned for Vafone's digital asset management department and worked as an investment banking consultant for Vakifbank. In addition, he has worked at global companies such as Cineplex, Walmart, The Advance Group, and Remax. Currently, he serves as an analyst at Gokturk Technologies and as a strategy consultant at Gerson Lehrman Group. Oztuna has been the head of the international relations committee with Turkey's IYI party youth policies branch since 2020, following a three-year stint as a consultant to the president.

He is the author of several books, including 'An Enlightening Guide to Politicians' and 'Leadership Management Administratorship,' and he is also a composer of the albums 'Restoration,' 'Orc-Extra,' and 'Melodies from Dark Cosmos.' Oztuna is a member of Chatham House, the International Political Science Association, and a Political Leadership Excellence Fellow at Konrad Adenauer Stiftung. He is also a McKinsey Forward Fellow, a citizen juror at the European Capital of Democracy, an IKAR Global Institute youth ambassador, and a youth fellow at the International Republican Institute.
