1. In this assessment, you must: 

a. Describe the principles of static and dynamic balancing 

b. Statically balance two (2) components 

c. Record and check the balancing you carried out. 

2. There are four (4) parts to this assessment: 

a. Answer six (6) Questions about the principles of static and dynamic balancing. 

b. Statically balance two (2) different components. 

c. Complete two (2) Task sheets for statically balancing the components. 

d. Provide Supporting Evidence for each static balancing. See the Task sheet for more information about Supporting Evidence that you need to provide. 

3. Make sure Supporting Evidence: 

• Is clearly labelled to show which question or assessment activity it relates to, and either written in or attached (stapled) to the appropriate Task sheet and this Guide. 

• Helps to prove your knowledge, skills and experience required for this unit. 

4. Your Assessor will choose a Verifier who has experience in static and dynamic balancing, 

and in particular, statically balancing the two components you balance for this assessment. This person may be your tutor, site manager, or team leader.
