Guidelines
Students need to interview a marketing manager of a company of their choice to understand what kind of marketing activities they do (online and offline) and how they measure the performance across different activities. Based on the findings of the interview, students should provide recommendations on how to implement or improve the performance measurement model of the company.
Hint: do not choose organisations that are either too large or too small/new.
Additional guidelines and recommendations:
• The report and presentation must include some background information regarding the organisation e.g. size, industry etc.
• Design a marketing performance measurement model for the organisation.
• Report your key findings and recommendations with the literature support.
• Transcribe the interview; the transcription should be included in the report as an Appendix.
• A video presentation must be submitted electronically via Loop by April 15th (cut- off time at 10am).
• Presentation should be no longer than 5 minutes
• Report format:
§ Submission deadline: 30th of April (12pm)
§ Word or PDF file.
§ Times New Roman, Font Size 12, 1.5 line spacing.
§ The Header of each document should feature the student’s name, student ID and the name of the company being analysed.
§ Files should be submitted using the following naming format “Student
Name, Organisation Name”
Submissions not complying with the submission guidelines will be graded zero. No extension will be granted. The assignments must be submitted via Loop. Submissions via other channels will not be accepted.
The following marking guidelines for this assignment will apply subject to the grade descriptors in Appendix A of this document:

§ Does the student demonstrate an adequate understanding of current industry practices?
§ Does the student clearly understand the key objective(s) the organisations is trying to achieve and how they monitor their progress?
§ Does the student identify the most relevant metric(s) the organisation should/could use?
• Academic Literature
§ Does the student identify the most relevant literature related to the topic(s) being discussed?
§ Does the student effectively use adequate academic references to support his/her argument?
• Critical thinking
§ Does the student demonstrate an understanding of potential benefits and limitations of the approach the organisation adopts?
§ Does the student critical interpret the proposed approach (e.g. identify potential alternative/complementary approach(es))?
• Presentation
§ Does the student clearly and concisely present his/her recommendations?
§ Does the student identify and present the most relevant findings/points emerged from the interview?
§ Time management
§ Confidence
§ Uses PowerPoint or other props appropriately for support
• Housekeeping
§ Are the results visualised properly?
§ Neatness, presentation and prose.
§ Referencing. Are all cited sources referenced correctly?
§ Spelling.
