• understand the impact this has on marginalised groups, particularly young people.

Instruction

You are to find an Australian newspaper article that reflects a current youth policy debate or a current youth policy. You then need to make the necessary link to which of these policies the article is highlighting including which youth policy it is connected to.

There are numerous examples in the newspapers that will link to policy change.  It does not have to be a current policy but one that could move into policy change – so change in the legislation of some sort.

Assessment Criteria:

The Newspaper Analysis will be marked against the following criteria:
• Criterion 1: Chosen article - Relevancy and connection
• Criterion 2: Content Understanding - Articulation of the connection/link between either a current youth policy or policy debate and youth work practice
