This part of the assignment is based on the SunnyBee Case Study. There are two parts to this case. Ensure that you read the complete case attentively. Note the following before you start. Read the case study attentively at least two or three times. Become familiar with the key points of the situation without adopting a position on the case. Read as carefully and objectively as you can. Consider the questions assigned. Record all information pertinent to these in the form of case notes. Decide which principles, theories, or models best apply to the observed facts of the case to prepare your answers. Remember that your analysis is likely to be founded on a specific aspect and avoid solutions based mainly upon personal intuition. Develop your solution in consideration of the principles, theories, or models that you have selected. The assigned questions may require you to consider alternative solutions. Remember the importance of showing not merely your judgement but the basis for it.

Assignment Task 1 - Report based on Case study

Abstract/ Executive Summary: You should summarize the entire case study briefly (no more than one page of A4 paper).

Problem Statement: Overview of key issues arising from case analysis. The discussion should revolve around the following issues:

• Link between business goals and analytics objectives
• Identification current sources of data for the startup
• Quality of data/ big data to evaluate to be able to use each of the data sources identified
• SunnyBee aims to achieve excellence in customer service and is interested in identifying its most loyal customers. You are expected to recommend variables related to SunnyBee’s customers to build a model capturing customer loyalty.

Based on your reading of the case and your understanding of the startup SunnyBee, analyze the challenges in using analytics at SunnyBee.

Assignment Task 2

For the same scenario do the following tasks:

Case Analysis: The case study closes on the note “Moving forward, SunnyBee should remain alert to new analytics technologies and data sources with the potential of supporting its business goals or increasing its competitive advantage”. Appraise the preceding statement by discussing two main issues:

• New data sources: Recommend three additional sources of data that SunnyBee should collect
• New analytics technologies: Explain any three analytics technologies that SunnyBee should consider using to support its business goals 

Conclusions: Conclude the analysis by reinforcing the recommendations for using analytics at SunnyBee by comparing how different the business would have been if the organization does not lean on analytics in its decision-making

Assignment Task 3

Visit any social media sites like Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Google Trends etc., to see the data displayed and the information that can be collected. Write an article on the importance of analytics in social media functions, social media analytics and its importance to Businesses with special reference to the social posts metrics and Profile metrics used by these sites.
