A2 (c) What is meant by the term ‘triple bottom line’? In answering this question you must identify an industry you are familiar with and provide an overview of how it has focused on its triple bottom line, and evaluate its impact to date. [20 marks]

B2 (a) Explain how human capital and social capital are interlinked, yet also distinct from each other In your answer, provide examples.

B2 (b) Explain how a business based in your local area could enhance its human capital, and the probable benefits of this if it did so.

B3 (a) Discuss how their views are similar and different. 

B3 (b) In your opinion, which theoretical perspective is more appropriate in the current business environment? Explain your reasoning using at least ONE (1) example.

As individuals, our worldviews are shaped by our experiences, upbringing, relationships, education and culture. In considering environmental worldviews, two opposing paradigms have been put forward: the Dominant Social Paradigm (DSP) and the New Environmental Paradigm (NEP).

B4 (a) For the two paradigms of DSP and NEP, explain what is meant by nature having instrumental value versus intrinsic value.

B4 (b) Choose one of the components within the NEP and provide a justification as to why you think this particular aspect of the NEP is an important part of an environmental worldview. In your answer, outline how you currently (or how you could) integrate this NEP-based belief into your working life and/or your workplace.
