Identify two E-commerce applications (software) which support business-to-consumer (B2C) transactions. Study both applications carefully and answer the questions below.

Questions:

1. Differentiate (in your own words) between a company policy, process and procedure, and provide an example in each case, relevant to E-commerce.

2. Draw or model the process flow, for conducting an E-commerce transaction, for each of the two applications that you have identified for this study. Use simple flow diagrams for this purpose, and indicate all the relevant activities and decision points within your diagram. Also provide the procedures associated with the relevant key activities indicated in your process flow diagram.

3. Compare and contrast in terms of strengths and weaknesses each of the two E-commerce applications that you have chosen. Consider the following aspects when assessing the strengths and weaknesses of each application:
Core functionality / features - What are the key functionalities / features of the applications that you have chosen?
Product comprehensibility - Is the application user friendly? Is it easy to navigate?

Product efficiency - Is the application efficient in terms of functionality?
Product support - Is there access to technical support, or a community of users,
frequently asked questions, a central helpdesk, access to updates and upgrades, etc.?

4. Taking into consideration the strengths and weaknesses that you have identified in the previous question, draw / model an improved process flow diagram for conducting an E-commerce transaction. Fully discuss the actual improvements made, including improvements to the process activities, procedures and any other functional and non-functional requirements.
