Note: for the group presentation (we were 4 in the group), we agreed that the mode of communication would be Whatsapp. We were only 2 that communicated as expected, having said that, we all had our sections assigned and needed to upload from time to time on the shared document. About 5days to go, it still did not feel like other 2 were ready, and then I personally wrote on how disappointed I felt. Then somehow, they both promised to upload their documents the following morning, which truthfully no one did. We complained to the lecturer, who said we should go ahead, and their attitudes will not affect the grades. Presentation day, the slides were not uploaded except for the 2 of us that has been involved from the start. Unfortunately, the girl who has not been communicating added to the slides, and obviously made lots of errors. The last guy who was meant to critically analyse the document and proofread was no where to be found and did not upload his ANALYSIS. Hence, the presentation was a mess and it lacked content. It was a day after the presentation he came to the group to tell us he had withdrawn from the course and was wishing us the best, meanwhile 2 days prior to presentation he was assuring us he would be uploading on the group.
Teacher’s feedback: The presentation was clearly not a cohesive group effort as the slides and references had not been integrated. Whilst you have presented some relevant information, the presentation missed the focus on gender inequity as a major determinate in FV. There was little critical analysis of the material, rather the information was descriptive only. I understand that you had some challenges working as a group so well done for submitting an assessment that met the minimum requirements.
