Dont include the advocacy statement or the program logic model template word count. The briefing paper is to advocate for the Australian government to extend the out of home care/foster care to the age of 21 year old as a choice for young people. Look at the research and evidence from U.S. and other countries to support this idea/strategy. In U.S. they had a pilot program stay put that supports the same idea so mention it and talk about the costs and all to convince. I am going to send through a few research papers to help with this. I am not sure how to write a briefing paper but this is what needs to go into it.The briefing paper is 800 words but this won t include the advocacy statement and the program logic model template. So I would say the estimated word count would be around 1200-1400.Session 7 slides talk a little more about the briefing paper and what is it all about so I m sending through.Assesment 1 & 2 I am attaching because the current order assesment is a follow up from these two previous ones. However there won t be much to draw from these..I am now going to send some research papers that my teacher generously sent to me to help with my briefing paper research.please make sure the foucs of the briefing paper is to advocate for the austrlaian government to follow the same path as countries like U.S. and extend the age bracket to 21 year olds for the transition out of home care to be smooth.and just to add please remember this isn t an issue about homelessness. But it is about the issues with out of home care young people homelessness. so do not stress on homelessness in general but it s more to do with the out of home/foster care and how the transition needs to improve.so refering to international example likes the US and all is going to be the crux of this briefing paper.
