Media release (approx. 350 words). The media release should be properly formatted, newsworthy and include a catchy headline and quotes from relevant spokespeople below that a journalist could weave into an engaging story. Select the focus of media release from the range of events listed below. You do not have to include all the events. 

Media alert (approx. 200 words). The media alert should be properly formatted, include a time, date and event location and contact details, a heading and sub heading, a brief overview and description of the event, and why it is important or suitable for visual media coverage. You may include a quote. 

Backgrounder  

backgrounder should focus on the organisation, event, industry and any relevant information about the location/environment. Aim to pre-empt journalist questions and answer them in this document.

Three Facebook posts, or thee Instagram captions and sample images (approx. 100 words). Be wary of copyright when using images. Include images you have created or images that are copyright free. 

Media list (approx. 150 words). Include 10 media contacts on the list. Include social media details (i.e. Twitter handle). Review the concept of newsworthiness and news value when considering your list.
