In the context of clinical reasoning, a critical reflection is your thoughts on what was done and what improvement is reguired for being a more effective and safe practitioner in your future practice. In order to facilitate this process, students should follow the Gibb's Reflective Cycle. The written critical ranection needs to be an individual piece of work by each student. It is advisable that students do the writing up of this reflective part of this assessment as soon as you complete the recording of video clip • while the event is fresh in your mind.
Details of reflection:

Each student should undertake the critical reflection in order to analyse one aspect of their clinical skill within the context of the simulation scenario they undertook and the nursing role they performed. In addition, your critical reflection should address • your understanding of knowledge related to the clinical event/situation, how the clinical event/situation has increased your understanding of the role and scope of practice of the registered nurse in Australia, and where you believe you need further development and/or leaming. You may also utilise the information that you have received from assessor feedback and video (if recording was performed) to help with this process.
