Overview In this assignment, you will analyze the dividend policies of public listed companies within a sector against another sector from the Malaysia Equity market. The main focus of the assignment is to enable students to apply and analyze the course knowledge to real data. 
Assignment Question You are required to prepare a report on The Dividend Policies practiced by a particular sector of your choice AGAINST dividend policies practiced by Government-Linked companies (or State-Owned Enterprise). 
In order to conduct this analysis, you are required to select five (5) companies from a particular sector of your choice from the Malaysia equity market that pay regular dividends. Choose another five (5) Government Linked companies (or State-Owned Enterprises) that pay regular dividends. Obtained the Financial reports for the last five (5) years for each of the companies to analyze their respective dividend policies. 
Required : 
Your report should include the followings : 
a) Using the category of your choice, 
i) Compute the necessary dividend ratios for each company for the last 5 years. Identify and critically discuss the dividend policies undertaken by each of the companies. 
b) Using the Government Linked Companies (or State-Owned enterprises) category, 
ii) Repeat the same computation of part (a) 
(i) for the Government Linked Companies (or State-Owned Enterprises) and critically discuss the dividend policies practiced by each of the companies. 
c) Critically discuss the main factors which have caused the similarities/differences in the dividend policies practiced by each of the sectors from part (a) and (b).
