Steps for downloading data, writing, and submission of the report: 

1.   Open the Swinburne Library page and log in with your student ID details (on or before 19 March) 
2.   Click on ‘A-Z Databases’
3.   Type ‘Morningstar DatAnalysis’ in the search box and click on ‘DatAnalysis’ from the search results
4.   Type the ASX code of the companies assigned to you in the top-right search box for “ASX code or Partial Co name”.
5.   Click on the Company Name to get access to the financial data of the company.

6.   Click on ‘Key Data’ from the left-side navigation menu of Corporate Details. Click on ‘Print/download’ and then click on ‘Print’ to download a pdf copy of the page (for each of the three companies assigned to you).
7.   Click on ‘Financial Data’ from the left side navigation menu of Corporate Details. Click on ‘Print/download’ and then click on ‘Print’ to download a pdf copy of the page (for each of the three companies assigned to you). From Financial Data, you are required to collect relevant data from three sections only – Balance Sheet, Per Share Stats, and Ratio Analysis.
8.   For each company, using your own words, write a summary report of 1 page (A4 size, Times New Roman font size 12, normal margin) to highlight

1.   the forecasts (see Key Data page) of Earnings Per Share (EPS) and Dividend Per Share (DPS) in comparison to the past years’ EPS and DPS (see Per Share Stats section)

2.   the changes in market capitalisation and enterprise value (see Ratio section) in the past in comparison to the changes in shareholders’ equity and total assets in the past (see Balance Sheet section)

9.   After three summary reports, write a one-page report using your own words comparing the financial performances of these three companies based on the results used in the summary reports
10.       Write your name in the left header, ID in the right header, ASX codes of the three companies in the left-footer, and Download date in the right footer of the page. Overall, your report would be four (4) pages only, penalties of 25% marks of the assignment would be applied for each extra page.
