Scenario:
The local council is setting up a temporary Art Gallery over the summer months to showcase artworks of residents and local people. They would like to build a website to provide information of what can be seen at the gallery and where to find it and how long it will be open for (the plan is to be open from September to February, but if demand is high this could be extended). You have been asked to create this website. As it is a council project it will need to be clear and accessible to all visitors. The council would also like to encourage local artists to submit their work for inclusion in the gallery, as such there should be provision to contact the project manager (Anna Davies) and for potential exhibitors to leave their details.

Task 1
1. Evaluate 3 – 5 related existing websites that provide information on events to visitors. Based on the evaluation, create a Storyboard for the temporary art gallery website structure and navigation layout design. (AC 1.1, 1.2)
2. Discuss and justify your choices of mark-up/scripting languages and web authoring tools. (AC 2.1, 2.2, 2.3)
 

Task 2
1. Build individual pages and link them together according to the storyboard you will create for the art gallery website. Screen shots of web pages and code snippets should be provided where necessary. (AC 3.1, 4.1)
2. Use appropriate tools to collect, edit and embed various graphical components such as images, videos etc. in linking web pages. (AC 3.2, 3.3)
