Talk about why thats really important in a school. Talk about if you want to engage Aboriginal students in the school, why do you have to make some change to schools to better engage Aboriginal students? If youre looking at a school, can you see Aboriginal people being identified, their identity being present within that school?

7. Now we;re talking about Aboriginal education, were talking about Aboriginal experts, Aboriginal tutors, Aboriginal academics or Aboriginal people who have
expertise in talking about the Aboriginal education. So, when you look at the references, make those considerations about Aboriginal authors in the work that you do. It doesnt mean ignore non-indigenous academics when it comes to talking about education, but also look at what theyre doing. Are they working in collaboration with Aboriginal people? Are they working in partnership with Aboriginal authors to kind of build the capacity of Aboriginal research or to build connections with the Aboriginal community more efficiently? Id like you to make those considerations when you re talking about your references.
