They have asked you to investigate a way to notify the public of New Zealand about potential and actual civil defence threats in the age of the Internet of Things (IoT). To investigate the current situation, you need to carefully read the MCDEM website and use the Internet to find out if there are existing solutions that could be adapted to provide a quick and effective notification system for civil defence emergencies occurring in New Zealand or overseas that affect New Zealanders. The Ministry will accept any system adapted from existing solutions or a novel solution. Please read the following carefully and provide your document in the prescribed
TASK
1. Write a business case, produce models and a simple prototype of the proposed system.
2. Introduction : The introduction should include the following information:
a. The purpose and motivation behind this project. If claims are made, they should be supported with appropriate citations.
b. The methodology used in the creation of this document.
c. The structure of the document.
3. Background : This section should include the following two parts:
a. Introduction to the current implementation and management of the business process within the organisation identified.
b. Justification of the need for the implementation of a new system.
All claims made must be supported with appropriate citations.
4. Customer Value Proposition Statement : Provide a customer value proposition statement for the proposed system.
5. MOST Analysis : Provide a MOST analysis that is relevant and addresses the given case.
6. Stakeholder Analysis : The stakeholder analysis should include the following:
a. Names of stakeholders or stakeholder groups and their interest in the proposed system.
b. Creation and explanation of a stakeholder power interest grid.
c. Creation and explanation of an RASCI chart. Both, the grid and the chart, must be captioned and referenced within the respective explanations.
7. Investigation of the Current Business System : Include a plan for the investigation of the current business system of the organisation identified. Explain the technique that would be implemented for the collection of requirements from each stakeholder and stakeholder group being consulted. Also explain the appropriateness of the proposed technique/s.
8. Analysis of Current Applications : This section should include the following:
a. An analysis of two applications that are currently implemented for the business process identified.
b. An assessment of your proposed system in comparison to both of these implementions.
9. Functional Model : This section should include the following:
a. A functional model that you have to create for your proposed system. This could either be in the form of a UML activity diagram or a BPMN diagram. The figure must be captioned and referenced within your explanation below.
b. An explanation of a typical business use case of this model.
10. Requirements Catalogue : The requirements catalogue of the proposed system should include the following:
a. Requirement Categories Table: The categories of requirements that should be considered for the impementation of your solution. This information should be provided in tabular format and must include:
i. Five functional requirements.
ii. One example for each of the remaining categories of requirements. The table must be captioned and referenced within your document.
b. Requirements Catalogue: A requirements catalogue entry for any one functional requirement for the proposed system.
c. Requirement Validation: An explanation of your efforts for validation of the requirements.
d. Functional Requirement Prioritisation: An explanation of your method for prioritisation of the functional requirements.
11. Summary : This section should contain the following:
a. Tie-up with the purpose and motivation of this project.
b. Accurately summarise your findings and suggestions from your work above. (Please do not provide any new information here).
12. References : Use a sufficient number of good academic quality sources. All topical information must be cited appropriately including either the DOI number or the URL, if the DOI is not available, for each source. Do not include any sources in the reference list that you have not cited in the proposal. References and citations should be in APA format (7th edition).
