• Kate, Amrit, and Tegan met at University whilst studying Business and Law at VU. They established Solomon Investments three years ago. Solomon Investments invests in green and tech start-ups.
• They share the profits of the business equally. In the last financial year they split $150,000 net profit.
• Three years ago, Kate and Amrit each put in $5,000 as start-up capital. Tegan initially put in $10,000.
• They want to incorporate the business, and are looking to call it Green Eco Futures Pty Ltd (GEF). They will each hold 100 shares in GEF, and they wish to be paid equally.
• What is involved in incorporating the business? Refer to relevant steps, documents and processes.
• Outline how Tegan’s additional $5,000 investment can be recognized by GEF in this case?
