Content 

The Research Tender Proposal should include the following details: 

• outline of the research team and suitability for the task. 

• brief background to the research problem and key literature sources. • identify the issue/gap and define project aims, research questions and/or  objectives for the research. 

• research methodology including the design and proposed data collection  methods including sampling. 

• proposed data analysis techniques to be employed and how the data would be  presented. 

• proposed timeline and milestones. 

• budget for the work proposed.

Preparation 

It is expected that you will integrate and use key concepts and material from the course to  support and justify your proposal. Your proposal will need to integrate and use research method texts/articles in the report to justify decisions. It is critical that a concerted effort is  made to demonstrate a clear link between the research design, implementation and  proposed analysis. 

Your proposal should be written in a structured format and follow the sub-headings as  outlined above. The proposal itself should be detailed enough for a client or researcher to successfully implement the proposal and collect data.
