To ensure that Grow Management Consultants’ management can understand the implications of organisational change, you are required to write a report that explains what transformational leadership is and how it can be developed.
Your report should include the following:
A description of organisational change and the impact and role of transformational leadership during organisational change
Organisational change is one of the most important characteristics of the most organisations and refers to any alteration that occurs in total work environment. An organisation must develop adaptability to change otherwise it will either be left behind or be swept away by the force of change. Employees reactions to organisational change are affected by transformational leaders, who foster employee’s readiness for and commitment to change and motivate them to act in support of the change. The positive attitude of the leader comprises of the accepted positive approach and the passion of skills, the energy to motivate the employees and the confidence to inspire the followers. They have to ability to develop trust, well being and commitment in relationship with the employees. This positive leadership in terms of employer’s motivation and having elevating effect on followers is known as transformational leadership. They confront the employees to accept the challenges and initiate them to seek more than their thoughts and hence have the impact of intellectual stimulations. Any change can bring stress or make employees feel overwhelmed. But TL understands the concerns for the employees as well and behaviour that reflect the understanding of employee’s feelings and needs. This increases the job satisfaction and eliminate the ambiguity as it provides a frame of reference for describing anticipated performance, which ultimately decreases perceived work stress and also enhances work performance. Trust is an important factor during organisational change. TL leaders are able to gain the trust of their employees. There is also positive relationship between trust and organisational change. 

The activities you choose for your workshop should give the participants (and yourself) the opportunity to demonstrate and improve their own skills and strategies. Describe how your workshop will give the participants such opportunities.
The workshop activities should also give you the opportunity to demonstrate the following:
Your own personal leadership style 
Your self-management skills

During the training session and workshop, you will be assessed on your ability to apply judgement, intelligence and common sense. Consider how these leadership attributes could be demonstrated during this time and summarise this. 

• Describe also, how you have used these attributes while planning the workshop.
• Explain how you intend to monitor and regulate your own potentially disruptive emotions and impulses during the workshop.
• Two strategies that create a climate that encourages and allows for the receiving and giving of constructive feedback
• You are also required to describe how you intend to manage the relationships you have with the other participants during the workshop.
