What are overarching issues?
Basic roads are washed out during the wet season
Due to the lack of management, the soil and gravel flows into river systems and causes issues with silting. It is difficult to get any supplies or other provisions to the Cape, because it rains or floods, the roads in Cape York are literally washed away, so soil and gravel from this infrastructure flow into the neighboring river systems and cause sedimentation, the situation is getting worse and worse because of the lack of maintenance. People living around this area, not exclude anyone, are heavily affected by the polluted water.
Due to the pristine and underdeveloped area, the leveling of soil, making the road by bitumen is considered very time-consuming and extremely expensive to repair. Local communities have to pay large sums of money on the washout system, causing major economic problems for the council in this area.
Moving vehicles, materials, infrastructure, ... to this place is also considered to be a big problem, having to use waterways and airways, making remodeling more difficult and expensive. Community building by residents around the Cape York peninsula was continually hindered and slowed down.
Teams can consider a key stakeholder for this project to be Aboriginal Corporations who are often engaged in the construction of roads on their Country and have experience with road construction or other types of civil contracting work.
Repairing and rebuilding the land system in the Cape York area has been a real detriment to both the council and the people around it, costing transportation equipment and extreme weather. This process is delayed and has many consequences, so is there a way to reduce costs as well as solve environmental problems?
My idea is to set up drainage from the end of the roads that will help reduce flooding on the road. Achieving this means roads are less “washed away” and safer for locals and tourists.
Currently, the remodeling Cape York mainly relies on helicopters because there are not many large vacant grounds to land the aircraft, so the construction of an airstrip that does not affect the mainland is completely praiseworthy. good for the transport at the same time it saves a lot.
In order to reduce the cost of using the washing stations, I recommend receiving a variety of natural energy such as solar energy, wind energy, etc. to more effectively prevent the spread of weeds.
Creating cost-effective and eco-friendly designs to allow year-round access to and from Cape York, reducing the process of transporting goods and services (resources).
